E30 C43 Radio Install Speed Sensor

Rumor has it that the speed sound level sensor from the C43 e36 radio can be installed in an e30. I have done some googling, dealer calling and searching to no avail. Has anyone ever been to get this feature to work in a e30.

Speed sensor wire is databus.

If you do the iPod controller, you lose it anyway.
