best location for alarm siren for convertible

where have you guys mounted the siren for your alarm if you have a convertible. I can't seem to find a good or "ideal" location.

On other cars its a breeze since there is no battery in the engine ompartment so it usually goes there.

Let me know any ideas you have please.

    thanks in advance.

Under the drivers seat. That way it will annoy the perp.

Seriously, mount it underneath the battery. That's where Luke does all of his, and I trust him more than God on electrical stuff.

Mine is located behind the passenger side headlights, in front of the coolant expansion tank.

I was wondering how do you guys route the wires from the siren from the hood to the under the steering wheel? I can't seem to find an easy way to do it. I see where some insulated bundles of wires go to the interior, but there doesn't seem to be room to squeeze a wire in there (or at least I don't know how). Any help appreciated!

You can drill a small hole in the firewall near the wiring harness for the ECM and add a grommet so your wires don't rub against the firewall hole and short out.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll think I'll first try to use one of the preexisting grommets as suggested in the other thread and go from there. (I didn't even know those grommets were there)

I hung mine from my strut bar with large zip ties. Then I relocated it to behind the drivers side headlight.

behind the coolant tank on that platform where the wires for the battery are at under the hood.
