inspection lights on with key not in ignition

inspection lights stay on and i belive it is whats causing my battery to die. not all lights are on only the green and yellow lights stay on with ignition off.

it was not the alternater. i think it was because the ni-cad batteries became discharged, so its was drawing power from main car battery to keep the memory thus draining it. so i removed the two ni-cad batteries and the service interval lights. as i dont need them anyway. i am sure if i was to replace the borad with new ni-cad batteries all would work fine as it should.

look in your bentley service book chapter 15 page 25 for more info on this
