Another radio code thread

I have no idea what my radio code is. I want to do a few things that involve disconnecting my battery, but I'm hesitant to do that before knowing what my radio code is because I don't want to be stuck with a useless headunit. I have the serial number, is there anyone who can find out what my radio code is using that? I want to avoid going to the dealer because they want $30 to get it for me. Thanks!

i also need the code for my stereo but it doesnt seem to have the serial number. it must have faded away. i do have the vin number for the car though, if that helps?
