    Early X-mas present (from myself)

    CDT EF-61CFi/20
    System price: $409.99
    6.5" 2-way "Carbon Fiber"
    Midrange: 6.5" Cast
    Crossover: SatNet-560"Transient Optimized" Elliptic 4th/5th order 2-way
    Tweeter: 3/4 in. Silk Dome
    Power handling: 140 watt RMS
    Frequency response: 55-20kHz
    Sensitivity: 92 dB.
    Impedance: 4 Ohm
    Surface & flush mount tweeter

    Crossovers:

Technically speaking, the SatNet crossover design is a fourth order/24dB per octave design supplemented by a series first order/6dB per octave on the front end. The unique combination of the two creates a virtual 10th order, 60dB per octave crossover where the critical crossover point between the mid and tweeter is.

The benefits of the design are many. First, the power transition between midrange and tweeter is virtually identical. Phase response problems and polarity shifts are almost entirely eliminated. What you HEAR, is a much more natural sounding component system, as if it were that one perfect speaker.

Let us know how you like these. I have the CDT EF-51 set and I am looking to get those 560 xovers as an upgrade from the 456's.

They probably wont be installed for a few weeks. I need to get my a/d/s/ amp fixed and then have some time to install the stuff.

O shit Ken, Your going to love those CDTs, i've heard nothing but good things about CDTs. Remember i recommended CDTs over the crystals a while back, :) , finally got a pair eh. You should have pretty good midbass with those 6.5 drivers. My 5 1/4 mids aready have pretty tight midbass output because of our cars small enclosure, i can't imagine what the 6.5 will sound like, please tell us how you like them when you get it in.
