    weak front speakers

my front speakers where not working so i installed a headunit i had laying around and when turning the fade all the way up both front speakers work but very softly. I thought it could have been a disconnected OEM fade but i have the non-premium speakers which has no onboard amp (correct me if im wrong) anyone have this issue or do i just need to hurry up and replace all the speakers:)

**( i know i need to replace them but wanted to figure this out first )

Pretty sure you need to eliminate the dash fader.

There is a thread about on here somewhere.

One of the biggest issues regarding sound quality in E30s is the shitty acoustics of the front speakers.

You need about 2X the power to the front, basically.

Your average deck makes an honest 12W X4, so you would want an honest 25WX2 for the front, if you were to use deck power on the rear.

However, the OP sounds like he has something wrong in the front wiring.

this sounds like it could be my problem. the sound is there in the front speakers just not 100%. will a dedicated component speaker amp solve this problem?

i don't know how to explain my wire mess without confusing everyone. this picture only makes it worse :)
