Question for Luke (e32 stock radio)

It looks the same size as the e30 radio/tape, will it install and work in an e30?

Reason I ask is there is a very clean one at a local parts car and the code is even present too.

Yup, should be same harness as E34/E36 etc.

Don't forget the odd antenna plug...

I think d/e are speaker level output, f is changer obviously, but I am not sure what A and B are for... if C is power....

A and B are rear speaker (black stripe is positive)

Yep, just googled it.. any ideas on the B connector?

1 is constant (or ACC, ICR) and 1 is dash lights.

this radio came in e30's from the factory also. mine had this one till i switched to the pyramid one.

Yeah, I know that :) The only reason I picked it up was that it looked really clean and was cheap. If it works great, if not no big deal.

it was the last radio model sold for an e30 so it sounds better than the other ones. and it does look new except for the little door/cover for the screw on the left.

Pretty straigh-forward so far, I really like how it's modular. Will head over to Frys tomorrow to buy some bulbs.

the lcd panel, looks like it might have been serviced before.... possibly.

Man what a waste of time. Replaced the bulbs, light bar now works. Noticed that the "band" button is broken, the broken leg was still inside so I was able to glue it back.

Something is up with it, it won't switch to AM or FM. Only goes through WB and Tape mode(s). WB button works, but it seems like BAND button doesn't do much.

Hitting the "BAND" button should kick it over to AM/FM right?
