radio code wont work

Well, I disconnected the battery on my car to do some work and now the bloody thing wont take its code.
I know its the correct code because I have done this dozens of times over the years.
Has anyone had this issue before, and if so what did you do to remedy it?

I know i have read about this issue before but couldn't find it through the search function.:(

Others have had the same problem. I think the solution was to leave the ignition on for an hour and then try the code. Search and you will find your answer.
