black box left of steering column

what is that black box behind the ABS computer left of the steering column? it has two green connecters going into it on my 87 325i

OH my god I hate that thing. Haven't given it a good beating yet but I found it going through a bunch of junk the other day and I think my sledge may get a workout soon.

First thing I did was remove the chime.

BTW, I dig the OBC II

I use mine all the time.

My car didnt come with a chime so i got one from a parts car and installed it.
