    Simple question, I think....

1988 325i Convertible, with factory premium sound.
Currently running a JVC head unit with the factory speakers, but need replacement (blown speakers).

What is the correct mounting depth and mounting style to buy for front replacement and rear replacement, without modifications and retaining stock appearance?

Pretty much any 5.25" will fit. As far as tweeters, you will have to cut the old ones out and hot glue new ones in, but most will fit. Just might have to get a little creative.

Clear on the tweeters. Just concerned about mounting depth, especially on the rears (I know many people recommend skipping the rears anyway) because I want to maintain stock appearance.

you are very limited for the rears, I couldn't find any at my store that were shallow enough(I work at Future Shop)

I've ordered Infinity 5020cs components for the front and 5022i for the rear. We'll be using the JVC head unit that's already in the car. I'll be doing the install in the end of November, when I'm back in the US, so we'll see what happens.
