    Aftermarket crossover location

Where are you guys putting your aftermarket crossovers? I just got a set of a/d/s/ 320i/s speakers/crossovers to complete my system and am wondering where to install the crossovers.

Was the stock location back near the antenna with premium sound? I didn't have premium sound so I don't know.

    Any help is appreciated.

Fro front premium sound speakers, the crossover for the tweeter was built into the midrange speaker.

I think most guys put the crossover in the kickpanel behind the speaker, but I could be wrong. I've seen some people mount them in the trunk as well near their amp.

I put them in the trunk, generally, just so I can upgrade to tri-amped later. Of course, this means running more wires, but that has yet to kill me.

          Hanging under that dash?

I hope not, sounds like a good way to get your crossovers kicked.

What is NOT recmooended is mounting near any major electrical/electronic stuff (I.E., the DME as shown above) as crossovers have inductors in them and can attract noise.
