                          I had heard of problems with CD400s not being able to play burned CD's and had lots of skipping problems. This was when that unit first came out. Any ideas?

                            I read about similar problems. They replaced that mechanism mid-2003.

                            This was built 02/2004, so I assume it's good. I'll keep you guys posted, but if Santa likes me I'll be getting an iPod for xmas so it wont matter :-D

                              Yea, the reviews I saw were early '03. Please let us know how that goes. I am very interested in buying two of these units actually.
