Mounting crossovers

where's the preferred place to mount the front crossovers? in the trunk or up under the dash somewhere? this is with a rear mounted amp.

in the trunk might look sleeker and could show off the crossovers (not that i care)
under the dash would require less speaker wire

My left one is up above the panel under the steering column, and my right is in the glovebox. Works great for me.

Driver's side in the knee bolster, passenger one in the kick panel next to the mid.
