I was driving intensely and my amp in my trunk is not bolted down. In result the amp flew and disconnected all wires but more importantly 1 of the 2 RCA cable heads snapped off. I was able to get the male off the female connector. Now what? Ive been told to get a replacement male and cut the old wire and solder the 2 old and new together. Is that right?

Why don't you just replace the whole RCA cable from the head unit back. I'll let someone else chime in, but if you splice into an RCA cable like that, you will lose quality. Forgive me if I'm wrong, (It's 3 in the morn' and I'm studying for a CALC exam and I'm wired off 5-hour energy, Focalin, and a glass of tea w/sugar), but I think that's right. We'll wait for Luke on this one.-Pierre

Run a new wire, and next time bolt the amp down. Better yet get one of Luke's sweet boxes and bolt the amp to that. Wow that is pretty funny that you were driving intensely with a $100+ piece of audio equipment bouncing around in the trunk.
Probably be best to just buy a new wire, especially if the original one wasn't high quality.West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.Comment

Well I did what wasnt advised and i soldered the wires together & bass is restored. No interference & no difference. Bolted amp now with lots of pillows in the trunk lol
