Stock stereo system whine due to failing amp?

Premium sound system, 100% stock.

It seems to be happening more and more often, but when I use my radio sometimes, it will have high-end distortion of audio, to the point it's painful to listen to. Sometimes it won't even play audio and just produces an ear splitting screech/whine, even at very low volume.

Is my amplifier dying? Head unit? Antenna?
