license plate light problems... wont turn off!

so i searched but all i could really find was peoples license plate light NOT working.
my license plate light just will not turn off, unless of course i pull the fuse... but its always on, all night, all day. it hasnt killed my battery even once though. not a big issue, but it sure does annoy me...
    any ideas how to fix?

I had a similar problem: My license plate light plus the LH rear parking light, instrument panel and ashtray light stayed on. I had a bunch of melted wiring in the fuse 23 circuit plus a fried headlight switch due to a bad aftermarket headunit install. I'd pull the Driver's side kick panel and start looking for a short.

I look stupid but I still like to answer your question even it was a year ago about license plate light.Check for power at the bulb holders them selves (green/black wires are license plate power wires). If the lights are on the trunk lid look at the driver's side rear hinge, look at the wiring harness that goes along that hinge and see if the green/black wires are damaged there.

Most likely it's going to be a headlight switch. When they get corroded inside it start's making contact on certain points even when it's not suppose to. Just make sure you test out the switch to make sure that's the problem before you start spending money on it.
