Auto Theft went off last night

Ok guys, so check this out.

Last night leaving my friends house I accidentaly manually locked my car door before I engaged my key to start up the engine. The key wouldn't turn and the stock radio started beeping and flashing "auto theft". I unhooked my battery and discharged the caps. Hooked it back up and still it did nothing. I then closed the door and started working the manuall door lock up and down while trying to start the engine. After a violent 10-15 seconds of jerking the door lock and key in the ignition, it started.

    WTF?

Any ideas why this happened, and what does the door lock have to do with this.

P.S. the drivers side door lock doesn't work if I try to open it with my key. I've been using the trunk to unlock and lock the car. The drivers side rear window doesn't work nor does the lock work when all the others do.

    Any help would be apprechiated.

    Thanks

Well it happened again. Still don't know why the drivers door lock has controll if the car will crank or not. And why does it only happen sometimes? Anybody got any ideas? I see a lot of people have looked at this thread. Somebody has to know something.......

The radio has nothing to do with the rest of the car. The "theft" light flashes to warn thieves that the deck is protected with a code and not to streal it - so that is what that light is for.

If they key wouldn't turn, that is the steering wheel lock caught, and you just need to giggle the wheel and turn the key to release it. That's normal.

Also, the door locks aren't tied into anything but themselves either.

I do like how you had three things going at once and are convinced they all must be related somehow.

Yeah that would help, huh? It's a 1990 325i 4door. Manaual sunroof, power doors and windows and a stock radio.

It's not simply the wheel lock getting caught. Trust me, it's not my first car. I'm no dumbass, but this is my first BMW. I've had 4 different people help me try to crank my car between the last 2 times this has happened since Wed. night. The ONE consistant thing that seems to work each time is closing the door and jerking around the door lock, then the key magically turns. I feel like the thing is possessed.

The reason why I think/thought all these things are related is due to the fact that the key would go in, but not turn. And the radio alarm was also beeping while it flashed "anti-theft". But goes away after I jerk the door lock around and then the car cranks. Seems like they are related to me. Could be wrong, but there is def. a pattern so I believe somehow they must be related.
