    Turn signal problem

So my left turn signal works fine and blinks at a normal rate, but when I switch to the right, the turn signals (both front and rear) don't work and my dash's signal indicator blinks super fast. The weird thing is, when the hazards are on, both front signals and rear left signal works normally, but the rear right turn signal doesn't work. I've replaced all the bulbs, so that shouldnt be the problem. Would this be a problem with a relay?

    Thanks.

Two things... try replacing the bulbs with real BMW bulbs. That check system can be sensitive to impedance differences, even slight... this solved a problem for me once. Two replace the turn switch.

If one bulb is out on either blinking side (front, side, rear, rear side) could that cause the quick blink rate?

I've had the same problem for a few months now..

Left turn signal works fine and the right signal clicks rapidly but no indicator light on the instrument panel. I used to be able to apply some pressure to the turn signal lever and it would work. Have you tried giving it some pressure? It might get you through a few more weeks.

Im going to order some BMW spec bulbs. The impedence could be the issue. Otherwise its something inside the dash or relay related.

Anyone got a part # for the oem bulbs? Which bulbs should be the oem ones? Just the front turn signal bulb?

          Thanks guys

Guys, trust me on this: the impedance (which is NOT impedance BTW, it is resistance. Light bulbs do not vary with frequency) does NOT matter. The check system is not all that sensitive.

If changing a bulb affected the system, you got lucky and scraped a better connection, something on the order of ohms, not hundredths of an ohm, or even thousandths.

None of the symptoms described above sound like a faulty switch to me. If you look at page 6313-0 and 6313-1 of the ETM, you will see that ALL of the bulbs run off the same wires: Blue/red for left and blue/black for right. Faulty connections anywhere, including the indicator connections in the IP will cause exactly what you are describing.

Cliffs: BMW bulbs aren't needed, E-B.S..
              Check your connections.

Wish I read this earlier, I bought bmw bulbs, and it still doesnt work.

Funny thing is, it started working for a short period of time when I switched the bulb, then stopped again. I'll definitely check my connections around the bulb housing.
