OEM radio doesn't work... not getting power?

So i just bought a 90' 325i and i noticed that the OEM radio doesn't work. Ive heard that you need a code, but mine doesn't say 'CODE' or anything. It looks like its not getting any power. Is it supposed to say something, or do i just enter the code and then it'll start up?

you need power to it first, then enter code. Source the lack of power

      Interesting first post there, mate!

Yeah, check your fuses. You will want to download your electrical troubleshooting manual, go to www.wedophones.com, click "MANUALS" then "AUTOMOTIVE" and keep going. Save that copy. sooner or later they will pull it from that site.

So now, how about an introduction? How about some pictures of your '90? Tell us a little bit about yourself and all that jazz...unless you are one of those fucking weasel assholes who come here to suck our brains dry and don't contribute, then we don't give a shit and will wait like vultures until you wreck your car to grab all the good parts off it...

      Oh yeah, welcome to R3V.

haha, naw I intend to stick around for awhile. Ill throw up a proper introduction tomorrow. So ya, Im pretty sure the problem is the headunit itself. I checked the fuses, they're all fine. Then i ripped the HU out, checked the power cable and its putting out 12v just fine. So that leads me to think that the HU is toast? Ill probably just try to find a stockish looking aftermarket headunit and throw it in (Dont want something all flashy to draw the attention of thieves :P ) So what is the stock radio size? Where can I find a cheap aftermarket adapter?

Ebay.... or if you buy from a place like crutchfield you'll get the adapter and all free.
