does anyone know if bmw offered a factory in dash cd player for e30's?
From what I remember, they did not. In fact, many car companies at that time did not offer a factory CD player. Most were aftermarket by companies like Blaupunkt, Kenwood, & Alpine.
Actually in Europe they did offer an in-dash cd player (for late european models). I'll try to find pictures of it for you. I saw one on eBay a year ago.
Unless I was going for a super OEM build, I'd probably pass on it. CD players in the late '80's/ early 90's were nothing fantastic from an audiophile perspective and most of them skipped like a gay kid at Chuck E. Cheese.
they did but not very many. I swapped one out on a late model. they are a big pile of shit though. remember when the first discmans came out? how they would skip if you breathed on them wrong? those decks aren't any better.
