Hows the moving process? Just wondering when my box can be shipped after completion so I can get a time scale.

I actually did screw up and built 2 extra 10" boxes that were supposed to be 12".
I also am building a "thin" sealed 12 to use the new Titanium Power DVC 12" that is about $120 and seems to sound pretty damn good. that box might get sold if I like it, but oif not it will be returned to 10 status.
Danny, when would you have monies?

Luke, are you building my "Maniac" box? Did you ever decide on carpeting the whole box or panels?
Will it still have the nice looking front like the deluxe ported boxes?Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I think I am gonna carpet the whole thing, still don't know. I think it looks odd to see open space on either side of the box. Pics should be soon, I hope.
We went with 1.0 cubic feet and I ended up building 3 of them.
My hands cramp up bad if I work under 45 degrees or so, but those 3 plus the 2 12" boxes and 3 or 4 10" boxes should be done today.
I still have E34, sealed "thin 12" (same size as ported 10) and a bunch more ported 10" to do.
I "may" have a new 10" woofer to work with that just might be a solution for the 'vert guys, but it is gonna have to wait until summer so I can work.
Too damn cold right now.

Don't worry about the open space. I'll probably use one side to mount an amp on a nice panel.
Think I'm going to go with that Inifinity Kappa 5, seems to be alot of amp for the money. And should do great pushing the cheaper ID 10" and my JL XRs up front.
Since I'll be running 4 channels to the components that means I can ditch their crappy external crossovers right? Just use the amp, or is there another method you would suggest?Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Here's the Crutchfield page on it.
Funny that they want almost 2x as much as you can buy them new on eBay.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Crutchfield has ALWAYS been full pop retail. Bill Crutchfield is a twat.
But yeah, 'bout that amp: 320Hz at 12db/oct means no tri-amp (5Khz @ 12db/oct, IMO) means either you will want to use the crossovers that came with your speakers (you got lucky, most cannot do this: see page 3 of your owners manual) and set them to "Bi-Amp", or use an outboard crossover, like a 6XS.

Hmmm, have to go home and check.
I think I might actually have VRs, which don't have a bi-amp-able crossover.
What would be your suggestion in that case? Buy a decent crossover or get a different set of components?Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I'm really considering buying one of the remaining boxes, but I am hoping someone who reads this thread can shed some light on a couple of things.
I PM'd Luke to ask about if he had install instructions or anything of that nature, and I guess he doesn't. According to him and my interweb sleuthing ( http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthre...uke+box&page=5 ), I think the way it comes is that the part facing into the cabin has carpet on it, but the back of the box is bare. I guess I have to make the rear panel - he ships a template and material and I cut out a panel to fit the car and upholster it.
So does this mean I have to go to home depot and get a board and a saw to cut it to shape, or am I mis-interpretting things?E30 M52B28
