So...out of necessity I'm alarm shopping...

So, some waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles(s) jimmy sticked into my car last night and stole my iPod and Glock while I was home upstairs. Goes to show you that you can't have anything nice anymore, even in the 'nice' neighborhoods... Literally the first time it has stayed outside overnight...Seriously.... Thank God they didn't touch my stereo. My plan worked- the CD43 and oem install appearance didn't attract any attention there...

I want a security/entry system with a fob that doesn't looke like it came out of the ricers-haven catalog. I've seen the Scytek G20 and it seems to have the basic features I need/want with an oem appearing fob. I'm rarely more than a hundred yards from my car and just want to be aware if its in trouble. Had an alarm gone off last night, they wouldn't have made it out of my yard with their limbs intact.

I want the same features you'd find on a new BMW, with maybe the additional possibilities of window rolldown or lights-on.... Is the G20 my best choice?

I wish there was a system with a micro wide angle video camera that would start recording as soon as the alarm was triggered. That would be awesome...

Oh, and I've seen the hooligans that did it... Apparently were casing our area last week. Cops: No proof-no care.

You didn't turn the lock to the deadbolt position?

So what happens when your glock gets stolen? Lots of paperwork? Is it even ok to leave it in the car?

I'm guessing you have to leave the car in Neutral for the start engine key?
            That's gay.

I got the alarm/keyless entry along with the motion sensor so when the top is down it will go off it it senses motion inside the cabin. Here are some pics of my keys, which is the reason I choose this company, the keys are awesome. You can also chose the E46 style key but I like the flip style.

You would have to manually double lock it because the key hole has to be turned 180 degrees.

afaik the double locking is done via a switch, and they say their systems can double lock some cars. check your manual.

Well this one does not double lock. It says if you double lock it do not try and unlock it with the remote as it can damage the locks.

also: did you need to wire in relays or are the relays built into the control module?

No, unfortunately I did not double lock both doors manually before I went inside for a couple hours in my gated community...

No extra paperwork for the glock. If anyone is caught with it, its already reported stolen and they'll be fucked; and I'll get it back. In texas I can keep a firearm concealed in my car just as legally as I can in the house.

I'll look into the UAS stuff. The scytek camera one is a photo camera, not a video camera, and it has a flash. If the thief is aware of its existence, he'll just rip it out. It has to go unnoticed.

Whoa!! More info on this alarm please. How hard was it to get the key cut? Just take it to the local key cutter? Any bad experiences with this alarm? This is VERY tempting...
