MB-Quart PCE 213 component install and opinions

I’m very satisfied with the sound. I’m running these with some Polyglass’ in the rear off an Alpine 80X4 amp. The bass is hardly acceptable but that was expected. What was a nice surprise was the lack of harshness from the Titanium tweeters; they are nice and crisp but not too bright or harsh.

Pull the mids out and cover the inside and out of the kick panels with dynamat... you'll be pleasantly surprised.

How much do i need for both side you think? does anyone know anything about DynaXorb? I was thinking i could also put some polyester stuffing fill stuff that is used in sub boxes. i was told that that gives the illusion of having a bigger box.

You won't need a lot for the two small areas, really.

Polyfill stuffing is used usually in boxes, not in a cavity where you might have water etc... plus these are used for two different purposes. Dynamat (and many other products like it) adds weight to the thin sheet metal and decreases higher freq. resonance where polyfill "fools" the speaker into thinking it's got more volume (only small %), but also takes some of the "ringing" out...mostly used in home audio. Would be mute point in a car, as the car's environment is much much harsher / louder etc.

eh.. no sub for me. too much weight for the 318. I do have a question about Dynamat. do i just cover both sides of the kick panel where the speaker is mounted or do i also put some behind the speaker on the outside panel? Thanks
