need help windsheild wipers

My wipers are being sketchy. Sometimes they won't work for awhile then randomally kick back into action then stop working again, etc. Anyone have an idea?

The relay– the big black one in the fuse box

Yeah, it could be a few different things, but mine was doing the same thing and swapping the relay fixed it.

relay is def the first thing to change. grab one out of a car in the junkyard for free or get one on ebay. i bought one on ebay new from some random company. i've had it in for over a year wit no problems

Try the lever too. I have a bad lever, I think its a loose connection because I have to push the lever up to turn on the wipers and then pull back on the stalk to get it going, then it works. I use it maybe twice a year so no big deal here.
