stereo Q? what wite is power and what one is ground?

my stereo stopped working. trying to find out if its the stereo or if its not getting any power. what one do i check for power?

Stock deck, aftermarket, any particular car?

Did you test fuses or look at them, or did you even look?

its an e30. an 85. idk if that makes a difference. its an aftermarket stereo but i just spliced it into the stock wires. so i gota know what wire is power so i can check it. i checked the fuse on the stereo. is their another one in the fuse box?

How did you splice in if you don't know what is what? None of the colors line up with any of the stock colors.

Do you own a testlight?

it was the fuse. the one that also makes the key thing ding.

i put the stereo in like a year ago thats y i didn't remember what colors were for what.
