speaker grilles too flat?

hi all

put in a 80w rms component speaker set and the grill that came with it is much taller than the factory e30 one. do i need to use it or can i just use the flat e30 ones? just figured there may be more travel for the speaker dome and it would bottom out or whatever on the e30 grills lol
