    It's all about the magnet size. These Alpine's barely fit. Try to find the magnet sizes online.

    Negative, they are very shallow the TypeS 6.5" are.

    you may get away with a slight spacer?

    yes it drop right in, once your car already has the premium sound with the tweeter pods otherwise just get 4 of the alpines

    I was hoping to use speakers that will drop in and won't require new wiring etc. Can I do that with a component set?

    yes they can be used as there is more clearance, but i would recommend getting a component set and mount the woofer in the kick panel and the tweeter in tweeter pod
