    v1 hardwire

    I just purchased a v1
I would like to hardwire it and have it be turned off when the key is off.
I would also like an inline fuse

What amperage inline fuse should I use?
Can it be wired in using the wires near the check panel?

the car does not have an airbag system( no SRS)
I ordered the V1 new from there website and it should already come with the hardwire kit.
I'm just trying to some research to hardwire it before it gets here.

Yes it can be connected to the wires behind the check pannel. Be careful while testing for voltage as you can trigger a SRS fault. I did that.

Didn't your hard wire V1 connector come with a fuse? Mine did.

Your V1 hardwire kit should have a fuse built in. Look for a switched 12V going to the check panel, splice it in, and you're done. I did it on my car in about 20 mins.

I ordered it new, directly from v1, so it should come with the hardwire kit.

What method should I use once I identify which wire to use.

        Something like a t tap?
and then crimp a male fitting on the positive and negative
sorry for the preschool wiring schematic

Yup that will work just fine.

Is there any chance there is a tool to remove the pins off the harness? Similar to how the engine swap thread has the X20 pinout and you can remove pins.
It would be a cleaner way to do the wiring.
