    Satelite Radio

When a HU says "Sirius Satellite Radio Ready " or “Satellite Radio Ready" what do you have to do to hook it up to get satellite radio?

an External Receiver (just a box) that has a HU connection and antenna.

then you control it via your headunit.

In my Toyota I have a Alpine CDA9830 headunit with a Sirius AINET Reciever which I mounted behind the dash, everything connects to the Sirius reciever and then it talks to my headunit via AINET.

    its pretty cool

The box you need to hook up to the head unit, or the "brain", usually runs about $100 from the store.

EDIT: you also cant use it aswell as a CD changer. a satalite radio connection takes the place of an external cd changer.

and then you get to pay for monthly service! getting sirius will definitely be worth it though when howard stern moves there next year.
