Power Antenna up while playing a tape?

I recently got my power antenna fixed and it works great. I noticed that it stays up when I am playing a tape (iPod). Is that normal? Can I do something to make it retract if I am playing a tape? Thanks for your help!

Yes - I am using an iPod Cassette adapter. This happens when I play a standard Cassette as well.

Sounds like they hooked up the ignition or remote wire to the antenna instead of the remote antenna wire.

The remote antenna wire only triggers when you turn on the radio.

The ignition wire would make your antenna go up any time you turn your car on.

The remote wire will trigger the antenna when the head unit is powered up, regardless of what you are using. Usually used to turn on amplifiers and such.

OK cool mine only goes up when the radio is turned on it just seems wierd that is stays up when I am playing a cassette tape... thanks for the imput!

Then it's hooked up to the AMP remote instead of the Pwr antenna remote. Both wires are probably blue, but one will have a white strip on it. If you switch to the other blue wire, I bet it would only go up when you use the radio.
