crazy guages & heater fan problems fixed

Hello, I have a 88 325 seta (now a 327i) and while driving today my guages went nuts on me. The fuel guage dropped from half to empty, the temp guage went from half to quarter, the tach froze up, the high beams came on by themselves, the heater blower fan wouldnt work at any setting, and the service indicator lights and 'check' light wouldn't come on when starting the car. I shut everything off and restarted, the tach worked ok but everything else no go. Someone on the electrical forum suggested si board, cluster ground nuts, fan resisters. Fortunately before I tore into everything, someone said check the fuse # 10....7.5 amp. I did...it was blown...I replaced it and now EVERYTHING is working great. Who knew that one little fuse would mess up so many different things. Please check this before you dive into that guage cluster, etc. And thanks for all the advice on this forum...awesome!
