power windows issue

Hello!

So i’ve been having this intermittent problem with my power windows. Sometimes my windows don’t want to go down and this includes the sunroof, all at the same time.
When i push the illuminated button to try to open the window i notice that all the window button lights turn off until i release the button.

Again, this happens sometimes, but more frequently recently. Now whenever i get into my car i turn the key onto the on position and see if the windows open, if not, i turn it off wait a few seconds and then try again (today it took me about 5 minutes). This is annoying and probably not good for my car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anything else not work? The windows are powered through the "unloader relay"...if your heater fan stays on, that isn't it, so watch for that.

You might also have a failing circuit breaker/annoying little switch. An easy bypass, just plug a fuse in place of it.

So the heater fan still works when the windows aren't working.
If possible can you please elaborate on the failing circuit breaker / annoying little switch?

All power for the windows goes through that stupid switch. If you pop it out, you will see it has 2 wires. Grab a 30A fuse, or a paperclip, whatever...jumper across those 2 wires and see if they stay working.
