I have Sirius and love it, the music selection is great and Howard Stern is coming to Sirius as well. Pricing is moot point now that both cost the same. Sirius allows subscribers free access to their web stream as well.

Sirius also has better sports coverage.

From what I was told, the XM radio satielitte hovers over or near the equator. The Sirius satiellite hovers closer north, but i'm not sure its exact location. I'm in Canada so Sirius is better for me because I get better reception cause its closer to where I live. I've had buddies run Siries all the way in Canada as for as yellowknife in northwest territories if anyone knows where the hell that is lol :)

Not sure where you're located, but I would probably go Siries unless you like to travel deep south lots....

I am using a Kenwood Sirius tuner box, under my passenger seat. It works well, but for my musical tastes, XM is better.

AFAIK, both will let you download a little app to sample their goods for like 3 days...but I haven't tried. Kenwood gave me a lifetime subscription, so for as long as my sattelite box works, I am all good.

The reception story goes (possible urban legend here, BTW) that XM has a single sattelite, where Sirius has 3. I can tell you that here in the Pacific NW, Sirius has far better reception. I can also tell you that the majority of long distance truckers who are sattelite equipped use XM, but I can't tell you why.

I am hoping to use a shark fin antenna on my Kenwood, someday. I ended up drilling a hole in my roof to run my cable in. Not exactly thrilled with that, either.

All in all, I have dozens of satisfied customers using both formats. I would recommend sampling both first.

              Good Luck!
