check light dramas

hey guys just wondering if any1 else is having similar issues ive searched but to no avail. My check light for brake lights come on from time to time and after a pump of the pedal go away then further on in the drive they come on again. and now my low beam light check light comes on sometimes so im thinking a bad earth or something wrong in the board. Anyone fill me in?

I had issues at one point, although for very different reasons. Assuming you don't have a cabrio, the module that checks this stuff is in the driver's side rear quarter panel area, right by the power antenna. You can pull it out and check the connections- maybe some water is getting in there or something.

Realize that any advice you get from me is only as good as me :p

Clean the contacts on the check panel relay board, then the contacts on the tail light backings.

so i can pull the check light panel down is there any screws or is it just a clip on panel. Also im in aus so that would mean its in the passenger side rear left panel

I could have sworn mine had 2 philps screws holding it down...

yeah non cabrio and non sunroof

nah it definetly just clips off i cleaned it and put dielectric grease on the terminals still no go
