Why don't my rear windows work?

They work if I manually power them with 12v. The switches are good. I put a jumper wire in the rear window breaker and it did nothing to solve the problem.

Any ideas?

You have an open somewhere. Get a wiring diag. and back trace with a dmm. Have fun :)

Nvm fixed everything.

Except it won't roll down with the front switch. The front switch only rolls it up.

have you tried taking the switches apart and cleaning them or swapping them around?

Just buy a two door and swap everything over.








Switches. Take em apart - clean contacts. Remember to clean the bulb and inside of the button and it will light up much brighter.

Well. If you would buy a 2-door like normal people, this wouldn't even be an issues. That's a shit ton of door handles to have on an e30 you know. How many are there? 1, 2, 3...fuck I loose count. Do you ever go to drive somewhere and you forget what door to get into? I would. Crap. I forget what I was going to say....stupid 4-doors.

Sometimes I open the trunk on accident.

one direction not working = bad contacts inside switch.

having 4 windows cracked makes for much better airflow inside than front windows open and back pop-outs popped out.

I switched the switches around and they all do it. I think its a wiring thing. Don't care enough to trace it.
