    Code for stock tape deck?

I left my parking lights on all day at work today (whoops) and had to get a jump to revive my battery. When I got the car started and got back in, the tape deck was flashing "CODE" and the radio would not come on. How do I fix this?

Hit up the dealer, they can retrieve the 5 digit code if you dont have it somewhere in the car.

When you get it, put it under your ashtray. That's where I stored mine. I got so sick and tired of pulling it out of my glovebox. Works great. :D

If you've got the original documentation for the vehicle it should be somewhere in there. Otherwise yea, what he said.

what's necessary to retrieve it? VIN #? and does it have to be the original dealership? or any??

There is a serial number on the back of the radio, ussualy they prefer for you to drive the car in, so they don't think it's stolen. But they know me well enough I can just call in and get the code.

I work there so I think they'll trust me. ;)

anyway, the PO of the tape deck found the card in his glovebox with it on there.
