also sounds like you have a grey/red wire for your hazard switch attached to power.

And there is a red like a jumper going to what looks like another part of the radio harness that's not being used it's hooked to a grey with red on both harnesses

since stereoinstaller is obviously incopetent I will step up and help you out.

take that color wire and hook it up to the other wire, oh fuck I cant remeber which one. if that does not work just start connecting things at random till it works or blows up. oh, I think you already did that!

are you still using the amp in the trunk? I just installed a cd player in an ix and totally forgot about that, fried the amp. Had to go back there and splice the signal wires to the speaker wires. 2lb of weight reduction..
                      the red/green wire is +12
                      the BROWN wire(s) is ground

speakers will be a few sets of twisted pair yellows for one side f+r and blues for the other side. cut them back to before they go though that wacky balance knob.. otherwise you'll be missing the fade option.

oh and antenna was a white wire. there was another unused white back in there, i think it was for dimmer or something.

                              Actually, it does.

You are backfeeding voltage through the dash light circuit.

If you don't want my help I can post elsewhere.
