Fog light switch - with electric fan connected, spontaneously stopped working

I have my cheap electric fan connected to my fog light wiring. For the past several months I've turned it on by pushing the fog light switch in the car. However, yesterday it decided to stop working.

the fog light on the gauge cluster no longer turns on, and the fan is not coming on.

My question is, since the light on the gauge cluster doesn't come on does that mean there is a problem in the circuit somewhere, or did the cheap fan simply take a poop.

Yes, I've checked the connection that I made.

Thanks guys... I'm not good with wiring stuff.

So I used a battery and tested the fan and it works.

So it could be the switch? Or a fuse?

From the fuse box area I can feel one of the big fuses(?) making a click. I think that's normal though.

Okay, so when I push the fog light switch, I can hear the fog light really click. So I'm assuming both the relay and switch are good. However the fan doesn't come on.

But if i hook the fan to a battery directly it comes on.

      What gives?
