broken odo question

so i paid $30 for what was supposed the be a good cluster, but odo didn't work...so i traded it in....3 times. none of them worked. speedo, tach, all that was good on them, but the friggin odo is still no good. starting to wonder if it's not the gears. help me!

get these at the yards mike? Chances are the gears are gone in those too.

the Lube that bmw used + heat + time is what makes the gears go mush.

haha, i took apart like 4 clusters one day when i was board at the salvage yard and all of them had gears that were fucked lol.

there is a thread on here that shows what gears to get from an r/c car that work. i am going to do it as soon as i have time.
