    Odometergears.com - wrong parts for MM clusters

    I got the little gears from odometergears.com. All well and good, decent fitment... but the small cog is very much not made to fit the brass bushing that's on the pin. 3 minutes with a dremel later, I was set, but at $25 a piece, I was hoping not to have to perform... adaptations.

    25$ a peice when they cost maybe 15cents total to manufacture.

      That brass bushing is supposed to be removed from the pin before you install the replacement small gear-I'm surprised the instructions didn't mention that.

          There were no instructions, unfortunately - and I did not want to remove the bushing. It wasn't coming off, I would have needed a very small bearing puller and my faith in the wheel not slipping without it was... low. I understand that if you remove it there's more plastic for the wheel, which therefore won't break as easily, but the original lasted +/- 20 years, so...
