    Help

    I hooked up all the speakers to one amp and the subs to another amp all the ground wires are connected as well the the positive wires the only thing thats left is the rem thast located on both amps and i am not sure what this means and what to connect to it. plz help :!: also if this wire isn't connected should the subs and speakers still be working? cuz i am not getting any sound.

    Do you have the RCAs hooked up?

    REM doesn't sound like anything familiar... at least in car audio.

      rem is to trigger the amps when u turn the ignition and i have rca's hooked up.

        Oh, the Remote lead. There is a wire coming off of the back of your deck (usually blue) that you need to hook up to the amps in the remote spot. You can run one wire to one amps remote spot and then out of the first amp over to the second amp.

            its there so your amp doesnt stay on when the ignition is off

              I fixed that problem now when i turn the power on to the deck and it turns the spekers on i hear noise from the tweeters lik eengine noise. is there a way to get rid of this?

                engine noise.

                does it increase when you step on the gas and bring the rpms up? if so you need to find a better ground for your amp.

                  thats exacly what it does it makes a humming noise and when i press the gas. the ground i have hooked up now is right to the battery where do u suggest i hook it up for the best ground?

                    Your ground is probably fine. Move your RCAs away from your power cable.

                      Your ground should NOT be going straight to the battery.

                      It should:

                      1) Be as short as possible
                      2) Be secured to a screw in the chassis
                      3) The chassis area must not have any paint between the contact surfaces.
