Stupid question of the day!! Power lead to amp...

So here's the stupid question, I'm running a 4 gauge lead from the battery to the amp in the trunk of my vert. Should I run the lead down the center under the carpet as I know I should not run the positive close to the amp cables and the speaker cables.

    Any tips please.

    Thanks.

no, that is no worry. You can run the power wire right with the RCAs too, as long as you have decent RCAs (not necessarily expensive ones, just good quality shielding) there is usually no noise issues.

If you run every shred of your cars power through that power cable, you might have issues, run the RCAs and speaker wires up the drivers side if your car is rear battery.

Yes, I know what a hassle it is to run cables in a cabby, don't whine at me, go get busy.

Thanks Luke, actually the drivers side is chucka block full of wires where's the passenger side where I rather run the positive lead as my battery is in the front right side has half as many wires. I ran the three RCA leads already and now I'm running the speaker leads. Last is the positive lead. I'm out here doing it as we speak enjoying this grand sunny day.

Well all the wires are in now, on the drivers side I have the left speaker wires tucked in nicely, and on the right side power, three RCA patch cords and amp lead. Hopefully tomorrow I get a chance to wire the radio in place.
