    89' 4-door project

I'm working on a 327i project car that I will be hopefully putting a whole new system into. All this stuff was ripped out of my brothers old 635 about 10 years ago...lol, but it is all still in great condition. I'd love to get some opinions on what I'm planning on doing. SO here goes:

    Equipment:
    MB Quart Q Series QM 218.61 Q (2-way 6.5", 1")
    MB Quart RSB 328 (3-way, 6.5", 4", .75")
    Alpine Amp MRV-T505 (2-Channel)
    Alpine Amp MRV-F505 (4-Channel)
    Alpine Head Unit CDA-7844
    Alpine EQ ERA-G320
    Monster Cap .5 Farad
    Luke Box
    Infinity Reference 1060V

Basically, I was going to get the JVC Head Unit that Luke and others are recommending which seems to be a great deal for $200 with the USB's and BT, etc.. However, I figured for now I'd stick with the old Alpine that I already had, I can get a cable that uses the AiNet to do Aux in which is all I need for my iPod.

For speaker placement I was thinking of putting the 6.5" in the kick panel (I know it needs some modification to work..) , the 4" in the door and the tweeter in the pods. In the back, I'm thinking of just putting the speakers on the rear parcel shelf.

As for wiring, what do you guys recommend for new speaker wiring? The PO ravaged the radio wiring so I'm basically starting from scratch, but I will have the interior gutted so it shouldn't be too bad to run new stuff. Just need to know what to buy.

    Thanks for any help/opinions.

Dude I'll never understand why anyone puts their speakers down in the kick panels on these cars. Don't do it because the sound quality is so much better with them in the doors and yes I know you talked about putting the 4's in the door but put the 6.5's in there instead.

Yes, I've heard that and I definitely thought about putting them in the doors, but I didn't want to have to put both the 6 and 4 in the door if I could avoid it. Now I'm extremely limited stereo setup knowledge but the way I figured it the 6.5" would only be handling low end and the 4's would be handling midrange so I was thinking it'd be ok to put the 6.5 down there. Am I completely wrong in this thought? Would you suggest the 4's down in the kicks?
