    sound system upgrade question

    I was wondering what is the best way to upgrade my sound sytem for cheap. the P.O. Has put in all new wiring because he had an sub, but thats it. I want decent sound quality, don't need studio quality (i know i would never get that anyway) but a decent sounding system that can be decently loud. I searched for recommendations but couldn't find anything.

      1. Good condition stock Premium Sound speakers

      2. A deck that has 3 pre amp outputs and MUST have "High Pass Filters". I like the JVC KD-R900, an absolute fucking winner for about $220

      3. A decent quality 4 channel amp, about 35W X4. Absolutely MUST have variable crossovers for both high and low pass (plenty out there for $100 new, or the 5 channel PPI from Sonicelectronix for $200)

      4. an Infinity 1060W or 1062W, depending on which amp choice, about $70ish

      5. One of my 10" subwoofer boxes, $185

      RCAs, power cable, speaker wire, etc.

      You can build an AMAZING sound system for about $700ish.

                  I cant drop 700 on a sound system. I have premium sound system, but it seems to be all treble and no rich base or mid/lows. any tips?

                      WTF, what kind of tips do you want? You need some other shit to make your car sound decent.

                          bummer bout the magic wand. can i replace the speakers without adding an amp? or is this a big no no.
