Ecometer problem - Help plz

Well, i've basically went through every every topic about the ecometer not working over here and have a good idea on what the reason behind the failure and how to fix each one, but before going ahead and taking it apart and working with it I just wanna know something:

I have a M50B20 engine installed, could it be the reason why my ecometer is not working?

before starting the engine it's pointing at 0, and when I start the car it goes all the way to the max and stops there.

Have you tried swapping out your cluster? I'd start there....

i'm trying to gather as much solutions as possible before starting with it and taking the cluster out. with all those swaps done over here i'm sure someone knows something about it :(
