    Antenna Adapter

I bought an universal rubber antenna, but the male - female connectors won't match up with the antenna cable running to the radio. Anyone know where to get the adapter? I've tried kragen, autozone, local car audio, etc, .... a link would be friendly.

    Thanks.

so...is it called a motorola plug? I was hesitant to cut it up since I've heard that makes you loose reception.

I'm just as curious. The screw on connector is used by at least one of the after market antenna folks because I got one in the fleabay chinese antenna crapshoot, but I have never seen an adapter, (other than the 20ft line that comes with the antenna) nor have I ever seen a reference to it.

Yeah, I was prying through some 80's-90's mercedes' at the yard, and they all seem to share the same plug/connector.
However, my peugeot, which came with a hirschmann, did not have the odd size plug.

If a mod needs to close this, please do so.
Found the correct cable/adapter, apparently the plug is the 'motorola' type, after that it was cake.
