    Simple wiring question

    Sup guys.

I removed the headunit that the previous owner had installed in my e30.
he did a crappy job of installing it.
I called him out on it and he said he had a shop install it.
    no biggie.

I installed an alpine 9881 and it worked prefect.
I installed it using the stock rear speaker wiring and I ran new wires to the front speakers.

my car did not come orginally with tweeters but the wiring is there from the factory.

i picked up a set of mint condition tweeters.
I havent installed them yet but, im wondering how they are wired.

according to the wiring diagram on wedophones.com

it uses the front speaker wiring.
since im not using my stock wiring how should i wire them in?

is it just tapped into the front speaker wiring?

    Here's a thread on it.

In short, you want to run your head unit negative to the GY/BR(left) and GY/VI(right) splice coming from what use to come from the amp. When you pull the from speaker covers, trace the ground off the speaker till you find your splice. Clip the splice coming from the amp and thats where you want to connect to. Sounds more complicated than it is. Just think of it this way to simplify the circuit... your hu is replacing the amp in that diagram.
