windows suddenly won't roll up or down!

I was driving last night, rolled down my window, then picked up two friends. they slammed the passenger side door pretty hard. and after that none of the windows went up or down anymore.

Its like they are on permanent window lock mode. they won't budge. I pressed the window lock button a billion times trying to make the damn things work, but nothing happened.
btw the window lock button seems to be much older/ worn out than the window roll buttons.

It was a good thing the drivers side window was permanently down because I got pulled over on my drive home doing 80 something on the freeway. Damn music made me do it... no ticket :D

Any insight into the window situation?

Check the back of the passenger door switch. I know in the rear both switches need to be in place for either one to work. Never tried pulling one front to see what would happen, but I'm guessing if it was disconnected you'd lose continuity in the system and nothing would work.

I was playing music really loud as well. Could I have blown a fuse that powered the windows or something?

it was the fuse. that was prob the easiest fix to a pain in the ass problem I have ever encountered.

If you own an E30 buy a testlight and download the electrical diagnostic manual.

Fuses need to be tested with a testlight, NOT your eyeballs nor a DMM.
