    here it is...

    is there any benefit to tapping into the speaker wires behind the headunit vs. at the speaker?

        No, you are dropping 12ish volts down to 3, so a little drop is NBD.

        Sooner or later you will want an aftermarket deck. Why have to run new cables then too?

        Hell, run 3 pair of RCA now (www.monoprice.com) and save the grief later if you know you are gonna have a bigger system.

          good point about the cables, and i love monoprice... this req will be installed in my jetta tdi... and i wont be changing the headunit... just need some more base in the dyneaudio setup.

            Ah, so this was not about E30s at all?

            Might not have been a bad idea to tell me that.

            I don't think you can do your connections behind the HU at all on an amplified Jetta.
