When Highbeams are on, radio turns off.

As title says, when I flash my highbeams, the radio turns off momentarily, and then turns back on to the same station it was on. It's not as if I unplugged the battery to it and it reset to default settings. What's going on?

i have a similar problem, whenever i do a flash of the highs, or hit the brakes and the rear lights
go on the music goes off for a slit second, and comes right back on, the radio doesnt shut off
though.

ive looked through my wiring, and i can't find the flaw, ive also had a few other people look at
it and have been stumped.

the real curveball is that it all kind of depends at what rpms im at, and the length of time since
the previous loss of music happened.

this is a problem ive learned to deal with, sometimes i just kick the clutch, rev up and then
brake so i dont loose music time.

i know i didnt help, but im just sayin, it could always suck more.

Sounds like your alternator is not generating enough voltage to handle mutliple electrical tasks at the same time. You might have a problem with you alternator, voltage regultator, or battery.

Try swapping the battery and take it from there.

I would also make sure you have a solid ground connection and that your constant 12v supply and ignition 12v supply are proper... and not from some circuit unrelated to the original radio. The constant being the one that provides all the power and radio memory, and the ignition being the one that provides the "turn on" power to the deck.
